Our Services and Techniques

During your initial consultation, our highly-experienced chiropractors will evaluate your condition in order to determine the most effective care for your body. Our chiropractors use a variety of adjusting techniques, including:

Diversified:

After performing a spinal analysis (which may include a case history and X-rays), your chiropractor will feel your spinal joints as you bend and move in order to find imbalances in the spine or neck ("motion palpation").

If a malposition is discovered, your chiropractor will administer a manual thrust in order to adjust your joints and restore your normal range of motion. This thrust is often accompanied by popping sounds as gas and fluids in the joints shift.

Activator Method:

Your chiropractor will feel your spinal joints as you bend and move in order to find imbalances in the spine or neck.

First, your chiropractor will check the movement of your spine as you bend and turn. Your legs will also be examined to check for any possible differences in leg-length.

If subluxations are found, your chiropractor will administer the Activator Methods Adjusting Instrument, a precise tool designed to provide a high-speed, low-force thrust at the proper angle. Adjustments to the spine (and other joints) are made comfortably and effectively.

In follow-up sessions, your chiropractor will perform tests to monitor and evaluate the changes produced by the Activator method.

Thompson:

Used around the world for over fifty years, the Thompson Technique uses a combination of analysis and adjustment of the spine. First, your chiropractor will compare the lengths of a patient's legs in order to determine the location of any potential subluxations.

Second, the patient will lie prone on "Terminal Point Table," a segmented, cushioned platform made up of individual pieces which gently give way when your chiropractor delivers a thrust. The result of this action: less energy is needed to adjust each spinal segment.

SOT Technique:

SOT ("Sacro Occipital Technique) is a clinically effective and highly accurate procedure designed to improve and normalize the relationship between the spine and the top of the spine. SOT Technique focuses on the cranial sacrial respiratory mechanism, a fundamental function of the body's brain, spinal cord and central nervous system.

By using the SOT Technique, your chiropractor can not only correct spinal mechanics and associated problems (such as headaches, back pain, and joint pain) but organ functions can also be normalized. SOT can alleviate high blood pressure, urinary problems, vertigo, ear infections, digestive problems and many other afflictions, without the use of drugs or surgery.

Webster Technique:

Discovered by Dr. Larry Webster, The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment treatment which focuses on the nervous system and the bio-mechanical balance of pelvic structures, muscles and ligaments. By reducing torsion in the uterus, the fetus can be better positioned for birth.

The Webster Method has shown to be particularly effective in expectant mothers presenting breech by turning the baby to a normal vertex position. It has also shown success in cases of transverse or posterior positions as well as in the delivery of twins.

The International Chiropractic Pediatric Association recommends pregnant mothers have their spines checked regularly throughout pregnancy.
